The features of the Takara Blacktop Kids Fixie Singlespeed Bike are very simple but effective for your child to enjoy. This all begins with a steel frame and set of front forks. The frame is welded together using Tig welding the joints in a horizontal drop out. The front forks are 1 inch threaded and are also Tig welded.
The wheels are made of a light weight alloy. The rims are 24” which is suggested for younger riders. The tires mounted on these wheels are yellow Kendas. The rims have 32 stainless steel spokes each. The hubs are Joytech alloy with a 16 tooth freewheel flip flop fixed gear bolt on in the rear. The crank is a 3 piece, 44 tooth assemble that is 6.7 inches in diameter.
The handle bars are made of steel and have a width of 16.7”. The brake levers are mounted near the ends of the handle bars and are connected to the side pull brakes that are mounted on both the front and back wheels and connected by steel cables.
The overall weight of the Takara Blacktop 24 inch single speed Fixie road bike is only 29 lbs. The seat also has a steel riser so it can be adjusted up as your child grows older.
